Modem / Com Port Tweak
Most external dialup modems connect to pc via a communication
port. By speeding up the flow of data (bits per second) through
the com port, we can maximize modem efficiency.
To speed up the com port:
1. Right click the My Computer icon and select Properties.
2. Click on the Device Manager tab.
3. Double click Ports and double click the communication port to
which your modem is attached.
4. Set Bits Per Second to 921600.
5. Click Advanced and move both sliders up to "Full".
6. Click OK, then restart windows.
